At this existing high school campus in Corpus Christi, expansion has developed the need for new outdoor space for students and a new “front door” that they can be proud of.  Blu Fish Collaborative was proud to be part of the team to design these new outdoor spaces.  Working around existing trees to preserve them for beauty and shade was a key part of this project, as well as bringing in new trees for shade.  The paving pattern expands through the area to link the new building expansions to the existing and the new drop-off areas.  A front entry was created that can handle many students moving through it in the morning and afternoon while still keeping plenty of green space and a flagpole court.  A benefit of these designs was to create drop-off areas that make a better space for parents and buses to move through the campus when picking up and dropping off students.
