Born and raised in Bengaluru—often called the Silicon Valley of India—Surabhi made an early decision to politely turn down a future in tech. While many around her spoke the language of code, she was captivated by color palettes and sketchbooks, a passion that started in childhood and grew into a love of design. Her studies in Architecture revealed a deeper fascination with outdoor spaces than with buildings themselves, inspiring a natural transition to the field of Landscape Architecture.
Outside of work, Surabhi is a trained vocalist who plans her calendar around concerts and curated playlists. She also enjoys gaming and finds cooking to be the perfect way to unwind and spark creativity.
Surabhi earned her Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2023. She joined Blu Fish Collaborative in March 2024, where she has contributed to a diverse range of projects, including school campuses and multi-family housing developments. Her academic work was recognized through a blind review process and presented at the CELA 2024 conference in Portland, highlighting the strength of her graduate thesis. Surabhi is deeply drawn to the field of landscape architecture for its ability to create green, functional spaces that serve and uplift communities.
